Q & A
What drew you to aviation?: I have wanted to be a pilot for as long as I can remember, 6th grade at least. Listening to my Dad talk about being an Navel Aviation Machinist Mate during WW2. More recently, I discovered the USCG Aux Aviation Program. This program gives me a chance to fly while at the same time contribute to a worthwhile cause.
How long have you been involved in aviation education?: I got my BGI just after I got my pilots license 40+ years ago but did not use it until I started with the USCG Auxiliary about 15 years ago.
What's your favorite part of what you do in aviation education?: Working with the "young" USCG officers and new members of the Auxiliary.
What's your least favorite part of what you do in aviation education?: Paperwork
Why did you join SAFE?: It looks like a good organization and since I am working on my CFI it looks like there will be a bunch of resources available to help.
