Q & A

What drew you to aviation?: I gave up guitar lessons to learn to fly.

How long have you been involved in aviation education?: 32 years as a CFI. 43 years of continuing to learn aviation – hope to never stop.

What's your favorite part of what you do in aviation education?: See the "light switch just turn on" when the student understands the subject.

What's your least favorite part of what you do in aviation education?: Issue a "Notice of Disapproval".

Do you have a memorable aviation experience you'd like to share?: Not enough space here to tell 43 years of it.

Why did you join SAFE?: Wanted to support the Hills in the effort of their Master Instructor Program. And the dislike of NAFIs effort to take the credit for it.
