What drew you to aviation?: My father who inspired me to achieve my dreams and to fulfill the awe of flight.
How long have you been involved in aviation education?: 16+ years
What's your favorite part of what you do in aviation education?: Helping others become successful, even when the odds are against them.
What's your least favorite part of what you do in aviation education?: Seeing others fail, when they can succeed.
Do you have a memorable aviation experience you'd like to share?: Ask me someday and I'll share them with you.
Why did you join SAFE?: To be part of likeminded individuals who want to help aspiring pilots succeed, and to advance aviation safety.
What would you like to see change in aviation?: Continued advancement in Aviation Safety.
Any suggestions on how the above might be accomplished?: Scenario Based Training, Quality Flight Training, Senior Mentorship, and more reliance on "proficiency" vs. "currency."
Any accomplishments in, or noteworthy contributions to aviation and/or aviation education you'd like to mention?: Career accident and incident free flight hours during 21+ years of flying in both General Aviation and in the military.
Who are your role models in aviation?: Too many to mention from the Wright Brothers to the Apollo Astronauts and the many engineers who made it all possible.
Anything else you'd like to add?: "Aviation is proof that given, the will, we have the capacity to achieve the impossible."
