What drew you to aviation? The love aviaton  and the passion that I share with others!How long have you been involved in aviation education? 43 YearsWhat’s your favorite part of what you do in aviation education?  I am involved in promoting Aviation and Aviation Safety through Television and Radio over the airwaves and via the internet.What’s your least favorite part of what you do in aviation education? Hearing the nay sayers telling folks that “it can’t be done”!

Do you have a memorable aviation experience you’d like to share? Memorable experience — there are so many – one was June 30, 1995 at 1630 hours at Seminole Lake Gliderport when my son Obie II first soloed  N233H with Ramona, his mother, Me , then an FAA Inspector, and Knut Kjenslie, his Instructor and DPE looking on. He could solo the glider, however, we had to drive him to the airport and back.  : )

Why did you join SAFE? It was the “Right Thing to Do”.  The leaders and members involved have a passion for Avaition and Education.

What would you like to see change in aviation? Put the passion back in Aviaton!

Any suggestions on how the above might be accomplished? Aviation is an hugh industry and we need to work together . A good start was  the SAFE meeting in Atlanta this past year.

Any accomplishments in, or noteworthy contributions to aviation and/or aviation education you’d like to mention? I was awarded Flight Instructor of the Year for the United States in 1977. I was earned the  Master CFI Award in 1998, 2000, 2003, 2005 & 2011. Life Member EAA, Florida Air Museum at Sun ‘n Fun, and MCA-I.

Who are your role models in aviation? Howard Hughes, Walt Disney
