Q & A

What drew you to aviation?: I wanted to start flying at a young age, but only actually realized the dream in 2014 and have been aggressively working to improve my skills ever since.

How long have you been involved in aviation education?: After getting my PPL & Instrument rating and experiencing many troubles finding instructors etc, I decided that I would take my teaching ability and use that to provide a better service for those in the aviation world as well.

What's your favorite part of what you do in aviation education?: I enjoy the milestone achievements in seeing students progress in their understanding and abilities. Aviation is amazing, and sharing the joys with others doesn't get old.

What's your least favorite part of what you do in aviation education?: Weather-related cancellations can be very discouraging to students.

What would you like to see change in aviation?: I would like to see a better standard in aircraft maintenance and operation across all operators. We have a good track record, but with some of the things I've seen, it isn't necessarily due to a global standard.

Any suggestions on how the above might be accomplished?: Pilot education, as the PIC of the aircraft we need to be willing to understand the issues with the aircraft that we fly, and communicate any abnormality to others. Awareness goes a long way.
