Q & A

What drew you to aviation?: My husband had always wanted to learn to fly but had not gotten around to it. We were talking about goals for the future, and I encouraged him to get started with flight training. I had never considered it myself, but decided that if he could do it, I could do it too. We signed up for classes together in 2016 and are now flying together and continuing to increase our skills as pilots and now aircraft owners.

How long have you been involved in aviation education?: Since 2015

What's your favorite part of what you do in aviation education?: Sharing aviation with others and encouraging others to get started and get involved in the amazing community of pilots.

Any accomplishments in, or noteworthy contributions to aviation and/or aviation education you'd like to mention?: FAASTeam Representative

Who are your role models in aviation?: Too many to name! I love reading books about aviation history as well as older flight training books and comparing them to the ones we have now. I am thankful for all of the knowledge that has been passed down over our brief history of heavier-than-air flight.
