Q & A

What drew you to aviation?: It started with RC models and a friend who had a plane. First time I flew with him, I was hooked. I love the technical aspects of flying and teaching. It actually is my way of de-stressing from my day job.

How long have you been involved in aviation education?: 4 years formally, 20 years informally

What's your favorite part of what you do in aviation education?: Sharing knowledge and helping others into aviation

What's your least favorite part of what you do in aviation education?: Liability and costs associated with it

Why did you join SAFE?: Looking to increase my network

What would you like to see change in aviation?: Continue to push forward with more modern technologies where it adds real value to GA. Managing costs while doing so. Lowering complexity of flying (too many rules).

Any suggestions on how the above might be accomplished?: Work with congress

Any accomplishments in, or noteworthy contributions to aviation and/or aviation education you'd like to mention?: Long time Civil Air Patrol member, helps all age groups learn of aviation.

Who are your role models in aviation?: Amelia Earhart – We need more women in aviation, though I'm male I make it a point to increase diversity in aviation.
