Q & A

How long have you been involved in aviation education?: I have been involved in education since 2005. I became a CFI (then CFII) on my way to an airline job. Took a few years off flying the line and then I switched careers and became an air traffic controller. I have been providing on the job training since 2011 on the air traffic side and instructing in airplanes starting again in 2018.

What's your favorite part of what you do in aviation education?: When the light bulb goes on and a student sees the bigger picture.

What's your least favorite part of what you do in aviation education?: Telling a student that we are not a good fit and they should try to find someone else that will better meet their needs.
