What drew you to aviation?: The desire to learn to fly.

How long have you been involved in aviation education?: As a flight instructor…34 years.

What's your favorite part of what you do in aviation education?: The satisfaction I feel when I have recommended a client for any certificate.

What's your least favorite part of what you do in aviation education?: Limitations on the time I am able to spend

Do you have a memorable aviation experience you'd like to share?: Not at this time.

Why did you join SAFE?: I got an awful lot out of General Aviation…this is my way of giving back.

What would you like to see change in aviation?: Its safety record.

Any suggestions on how the above might be accomplished?: Continuing efforts at promoting the use of recurrent training among GA pilots through programs such as Wings Pilot Proficiency Program.

Who are your role models in aviation?: I was fortunate when learning to fly because my instructors were primarily retired Air Force officers with distinguished careers…true professionals who promoted not only safety but good flight habits as well.
