What drew you to aviation?: Loved to watch airplanes while growing up. Always wanted to fly.
How long have you been involved in aviation education?: Approximately 45 years, coming from the Air Force as a Air Traffic Controller, specializing in Terminal Instrument Procedures. Was a Safety Officer for the aero clubs while in the AF, and now OK Wing Safety Director . I'm also one of the Wing Check Pilots
What's your favorite part of what you do in aviation education?: Flying with our cadets at our National Flight Academy each year and providing Orientation Rides throughout the year.
What's your least favorite part of what you do in aviation education?: There are none.
Do you have a memorable aviation experience you'd like to share?: No
Why did you join SAFE?: I believe it's important to be involved with aviation organizations and the tools available is something I can use with our local pilots.
What would you like to see change in aviation?: We need more pilots. There is a severe shortage and it's not going to get better very soon.
Any suggestions on how the above might be accomplished?: We're training our cadets and the Air Force is providing scholarships toward obtaining a Private Certificate. Local universities are connected with commercial airlines providing a pipeline for new pilots.

Who are your role models in aviation?: Wilber and Orville, Howard Hughes, Jimmy Doolittle, Charles Lindberg. Bob Hoover,
