Q & A

What drew you to aviation?: My father flew for the original Frontier airlines.

How long have you been involved in aviation education?: Since 1985

What's your favorite part of what you do in aviation education?: Since I teach Emergency Maneuver Training, Aerobatics, Tailwheel, and Glider, I'm always teaching something that is either a bucket-list desire, or something that they were somewhat fearful of, or sometimes both. Seeing the student swell with pride when they can do any of the above is quite rewarding.

Why did you join SAFE?: I'm a disciple of Rich Stowell, and I proud of the winning my Master CFI-Aerobatic. I watched as SAFE was being formed out of the mistakes and non-member centric tactics of NAFI. I believe in SAFE's mission and how they go about it.

Who are your role models in aviation?: Bob Hoover, Tex Rankin, Tex Johnston, Tony LaVier, Bud Anderson, my Dad
