Q & A

What drew you to aviation?: Born with the desire.

How long have you been involved in aviation education?: 8 years

What's your favorite part of what you do in aviation education?: Seeing folks achieve their dreams of flight. Assisting very exceptional medical personnel save lives.

What's your least favorite part of what you do in aviation education?: Issuing Notices of Disapproval.

Do you have a memorable aviation experience you'd like to share?: The most prevalent thing I can share is that it is never to late to chase your dreams in aviation. I started at age 40 and my only regret is that I wasted all those years thinking I could never be good enough to fly.

Why did you join SAFE?: Professional association is important for personal and professional development.

What would you like to see change in aviation?: We need more females and minorities to take the aviation challenge. Additionally we need to keep young folks included and involved. We must each of us make a point of reaching out to a young soul, female, and minority and make them feel welcomed to our community.

Any suggestions on how the above might be accomplished?: Individual expectations of each ones self. Self motivation to encourage others.

Who are your role models in aviation?: Amelia Earhart, Charles Lindbergh, Harrison Ford, Dan Thill, Kurt Russel, Amy Birdsell, Morgan Freeman
