Q & A

What drew you to aviation?: Grew up around it with my dad going to fly-ins and Oshkosh, got bit by the bug early on! Got my private with a flight instructor out of Byron CA with the intentions of only flying for fun, then later decided to continue with it as a career.

How long have you been involved in aviation education?: Started working halfway through May in Arlington, TX.

What's your favorite part of what you do in aviation education?: As a private pilot I took part in taking kids on EAA Young Eagle flights, watching the their faces light up on that first flight was great. That's a big part of what led me to the path of being a flight instructor.

What's your least favorite part of what you do in aviation education?: New students who have previously been unmotivated and unenthusiastic.

Why did you join SAFE?: Connections and information from all sorts of people here are invaluable. As a new instructor I'm sure i wont be perfect at everything so I look forward to the advice and experience from those around me.

Who are your role models in aviation?: Bud Anderson, Bob Hoover, Randy Howell
