What drew you to aviation?: The love of soaring on high.

How long have you been involved in aviation education?: 28 years.

What's your favorite part of what you do in aviation education?: Helping people reach their goals.

What's your least favorite part of what you do in aviation education?: Explaining to someone that they will need additional training.

Do you have a memorable aviation experience you'd like to share?: Flying a C172 from Fort Worth Alliance to Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico. The plane had an auxiliary tank in the baggage compartment.

Why did you join SAFE?: To continue to educate myself. Like the old saying goes "A good pilot is always learning". I also like sharing my experiences.

What would you like to see change in aviation?: I would like to see more instructors with knowledge of what information is in the Airplane Flying Handbook, Pilot Handbook of Aeronautical knowledge and other FAA handbooks.

Any suggestions on how the above might be accomplished?: More seminars for instructors conducted by DPEs and FAA inspectors.

Any accomplishments in, or noteworthy contributions to aviation and/or aviation education you'd like to mention?: Designated Pilot Examiner. Check Pilot at a major cargo airline. Retired Military Pilot.

Who are your role models in aviation?: Anyone who believes in staying current in knowledge and skills.
