What drew you to aviation?: My family was always in Aviation and Aerospace. My grandfather worked for Howard Hughes for over 50 years.

How long have you been involved in aviation education?: 30+ years

What's your favorite part of what you do in aviation education?: My favorite part is helping aviators to reach their dreams. Sometimes the challenges seem impossible and I love seeing them climb those mountains and fulfill their dreams.

What's your least favorite part of what you do in aviation education?: Airplanes without air conditioning!

Why did you join SAFE?: To promote aviation safety.

What would you like to see change in aviation?: I would love to see a 100% safety record with no accidents, injuries or fatalities.

Any suggestions on how the above might be accomplished?: Continue working towards eliminating causal factors through training.

Who are your role models in aviation?: My grandfather, Joe LaPlaca.
