Q & A
How long have you been involved in aviation education?: The civil war in the D.R. Congo was a compelling reason to leave missionary flying and start a new chapter in life as a safety and security educator. Since 2001, I have been traveling the world with Mission Safety International (msisafety.org) which sponsors safety seminars and safety consultations for missionary and humanitarian aviation organizations.
What’s your favorite part of what you do in aviation education?: Giving a seminar presentation and knowing the participants are fully engaged.
Any accomplishments in, or noteworthy contributions to aviation and/or aviation education you’d like to mention?: Some of the most fulfilling safety seminars have been the ones which have been co-sponsored with the Civil Aviation Authorities in places like Bangladesh, Bolivia and Kenya to raise the bar of safety across the whole aviation spectrum.
