What drew you to aviation?: My parents gave me solo priviledges at Christmas for the sixteenth birthday.

How long have you been involved in aviation education?: Initial CFI in Oct 1969.

What’s your favorite part of what you do in aviation education?: The joy of seeing one of my students successfully pass that next check ride.

What’s your least favorite part of what you do in aviation education?: Unprepared students.

Why did you join SAFE?: Where else would a professional flight instructor be?

What would you like to see change in aviation?: Better pay.

Any suggestions on how the above might be accomplished?: Beat up CFIs who give away their time.

Any accomplishments in, or noteworthy contributions to aviation and/or aviation education you’d like to mention?: I wrote the standby navigational software for the Voyager Project.
