Q & A

What drew you to aviation?: Adventure.

How long have you been involved in aviation education?: I've been a pilot since 1996 and a CFI since 2006.

What's your favorite part of what you do in aviation education?: I love working with pilots to make things make more sense, safer, and easier.

What's your least favorite part of what you do in aviation education?: My least favorite thing about aviation is the expense!

Why did you join SAFE?: I enjoy getting out in the aviation community and educating as many pilots as I can. I'm a huge supporter of aviation safety and pilot proficiency programs.

What would you like to see change in aviation?: I'd like to see more positive attitudes towards recurrent training.

Any suggestions on how the above might be accomplished?: Keeping aviation education engaging for the pilot and introducing the appropriate scenarios during training to keep the training valuable and challenging for the pilot.
