What drew you to aviation?: Grew up in airplanes, started flying at age 5.

How long have you been involved in aviation education?: since 1974

What's your favorite part of what you do in aviation education?: Teach the CORRECT way to fly.

What's your least favorite part of what you do in aviation education?: Read, and assist in accident investigations.

Do you have a memorable aviation experience you'd like to share?: Flew around the world.

Why did you join SAFE?: I believe in AVIATION EDUCATION, and helping pilots to learn the CORRECT way to fly.

What would you like to see change in aviation?: Instructors that have the experience to teach flying the way it needs to be taught.

Any suggestions on how the above might be accomplished?: Attend my EAA OSHKOSH lecture on the CORRECT way to Teach and Fly, and Mentoring of young instructors by older more experienced instructors.

Any accomplishments in, or noteworthy contributions to aviation and/or aviation education you'd like to mention?: FAA Safety Counselor, FAASTEAM Safety Member, Keynote speaker at the United States Pilot association, and Missouri Pilots Association annual meeting, Speaker at OSHKOSH for the last 5 years. Assisted in two MS-760 Paris Jet crash investigations, STAFFORD SENIOR PILOT LOG BOOK.

Who are your role models in aviation?: Met most of the influential Pilots from the early Golden Age of Aviation, many of the X-15 Pilots, some of the Mercury 7, and other early astronauts, including some of the Women Mercury 7 astronauts, Bill and Moya Lear, Olive Ann Beech, etc.

Anything else you'd like to add?: I would like to help lead S.A.F.E to become the Premier Aviation Education Forum.
